1997 Honda Accord EX wagon

We bought this car with 116K miles on it. And it runs great. We have 17" rims for summer.

This was the last year of the classic Honda Accord wagon. Talk about a tough car to find!

Some specs:

• 2.4L VTEC, 4 cylinder 16 valve engine
• 4 speed automatic, 15" aluminum rims
• EX package, including power sunroof
• Full gauges and rear defroster
• Green with tan cloth interior

Things added:

• Sony head unit
• Sony 6.5" door speakers
• Halo spark plugs
• 8" Pioneer DVC sub in rear side wall powered by Alpine amp
• tow hitch

If you've got one of these cars, or are looking at one, here are things to look for:

Mechanical:

• Automatic transmission. They need maintenance or they die.
• Excessive rust around rear wheel wells is common
• Timing belt. Every 105K in this car. If the belt goes, so do the valves.
