1992 Lexus SC400

It has a 250 hp (260 ftlbs of torque) fuel-injected 4.0L V8 engine, 4 speed auto trans, A/C, GS300 rear end (better off-the-line performance), keyless entry/alarm, power everything, and 16" chromed alloy rims.
The car is 100% stock with the exception of the new rear end, full nose mask, hiperwhite 9006 headlamps, and four Blaupunkt 4" speakers.

This is how you flush the power steering system in the SC400.

Things to watch for when purchasing SC400s:
- Power steering pump whine - means the pump needs replacement. Will ruin the alternator if it leaks.
- Cracks in plastic and leather on door panels and dash - common problem with the interiors.
- Errors in the CD changer - it won't load CDs or the CDs skip on small bumps.
- Dark transmission fluid. Engines in these cars are fantastic. Trans, if fluid isn't changed regularly, is not!
- Flickering analog dash displays, burnt out climate control backlighting are also common.
- Moisture in the headlamps. This can be fixed, but it's very time consuming.
- Timing belt - check if it's been done!
- Tuneups - done every 60K miles. Including 2 coils, caps, rotors, 10 wires and 8 plugs, it's a $500+ job!
- Coolant reservoir has a tendency to develop leaks.
- A/C units don't blow cold anymore.
- Power antenna broken or bent (can replace the mast reasonably).
