1984 Nissan 300ZX

Pictures above are of our silver 1984 300ZX, normally aspirated. We bought it with 159K miles, still running great (these motors are amazing).
This car is a 5 speed, 160 hp car. It has a 3.0L V6 engine. This car has power windows/locks, 8 way+ power seat with power lumbar and seat bolsters, t-tops, 15" aluminum rims, driving lights, intermittent wipers, cruise control, digital dash, digital climate control, imitation wood trim, and leather upholstery (with 300ZX emblem embroidered on it). And it TALKS (door is open, lights are on, etc). Cool for 1984!
What we added in ours:
- Tan leather steering wheel wrap
- Panasonic CD player with remote control
- Pioneer 6.5" 2 way rear speakers
- PCW 5 spoke custom rims (15x7") with 225/60/15 tires
- Digital dash - loose connectors, odd failures can just require a connection cleaning or require a complete digital dash. Find out what's needed before you buy!
- Auto trans - They overheat and burn out. Replacement is expensive, and you have to replace the radiator too (it contains the trans cooler).
- Suspension - Make sure the rear wheels in particular are straight - if they are bent inwards on the top excessively, suspension work is needed.
- T-top seals - They tend to leak after a few years (treat with silicon spray and they may come back).
- Timing belt - It MUST be changed every 60K, and it's not cheap ($300+). If it goes, so does the rest of the engine, so it is critical.
